Cascade offer an apprenticeship programme for dancers/students aged 18 + in Kent. The programme provides the chance to gain experience in all company processes, including leading, creating, rehearsing and assisting in classes, workshops and dance projects.

The apprenticeship programme has a focus on delivering dance and developing skills in leadership and communication. All students will work within educational and community settings, experiencing dance with a range of ages and abilities. Performance opportunities are also offered through the adult performance & graduate dance company.

Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s general day to day running and artistic direction. Students are set tasks with regular assessments taking place throughout their year. The apprentice programme is funded by Cascade Dance therefore is not a paid position, however expenses are covered for the 9 months period.

Cascade started their first apprenticeship programme in 2011, and since then has offered three places, all of who have continued to deliver dance work for the company. To request more information contact:

My time with Cascade as an apprentice gave me an invaluable opportunity to discover and develop my skills as a teacher. I was offered an array of opportunities to learn, working with a variety of ages and abilities, whilst feeling fully supported and guided along the way.
